A Bit About Me
My artistic journey began as a child spending hours on a Spirograph. This created or at least enhanced this fascination with graphic patterns. As a lover nature, I have always enjoyed these patterns and especially the fine details. After receiving a disposable camera at a young age, film introduced a whole new level of creativity by freezing these spectacular scenes to share with others. The suspense of how the prints came back was always a exciting. Yeah, I missed a few exposures.
These fine details in nature seem miraculous at every level. A flower blooming, a seed popping, clouds changing in color and shape, they all happen every second all around us. Few take notice.
Capturing these details in a way that causes the viewer to pause and contemplate the unfolding and transformation happening all around us is a mission of my work. To bring awareness of these things, I believe, can transform the viewers relationship with our world.

I graduated Highschool in Nashua, NH in 1977 and started a plumbing job during my senior year. This began my 40+ year career in the plumbing industry. After a few years, I moved to Texas where I completed apprenticeship and earned my first Master plumbing license and started my first business.
Life moved very quickly then and in 1983 married and received my first child in Lawton, Oklahoma, We soon returned to New Hampshire and had 5 more children ( 5 boys and 1 girl total ). We lived in the beautiful White mountains which continued to fuel my love of nature. With some years under my belt with the tool, I spent a couple years managing a supply house. Leaving that chaos,I then started my second business and had a blast for several years.
I finally moved back, settled down in my home state of Oklahoma in 1990 and ran a Plumbing Business for 21 years while spending countless hours traveling and getting better with my camera before closing the doors to follow his heART.
2008 was the beginning of my full-bore immersion into education and the world of photography.

I began investing time and money with specific purpose of being a high level professional. Started online classes by committing to year long series with BetterPhoto.com with Professionals like Jim Zuckerman, William Neill and several others.
Started photo competition at Oklahoma State fair.
First place Graphic category
Second place in Flower category
Total of 7 ribbons in 12 categories entered.
Photo competition at Oklahoma State fair.
Grand Champion ribbon.
8 ribbons in 12 categories entered.

Introduced to PPA-Professional Photographers of America. Entering 4 images, received 2 "Merit Awards" selected for their general exhibit at IPC- International Photographic Competition.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOINING A PPA AFFILIATE GROUP NEAR YOU. As I was told, "it will take years off your learning curve" to get involved in print competition. Info here www.ppa.com.

2014-2015
I continued training and competing in PPA at the local, state and international level with several awards and exhibits including "Best of Show", First place man's portrait, First place General category and several other trophies and ribbons. I received 6 "Merit awards" with 2 being published in tabletop books with one in the "Loan Collection"- Best of the best entered for that year (approx. 5500 entries).
2012
I continued to train and seek out mentors that I connected with traveling throughout the US. Print competition is one way I was able to sharpen my skills.

Entered several juried Art Shows in Oklahoma.

Had several exhibits state wide that was incredibly fun.

IPC International Photographic competition.
Multiple awards state, regional and international.
Published in "Showcase Book" - Express Yourself
Published in "Loan Collection" book of the best of the best.

IPC Competition - 2 Merit award images out of 4 submitted.
